The Ananda Center for Human Development is rising in the Municipality of Krnjak, in an area of unique typology (20 km from the city of Karlovac, the headquarter/capital of the homonymous county) characterized by diverse relief. The terrain configuration is marked by river valleys and hilly elevations - saddles and ridges alternating with valleys of watercourses.

The Ananda Center is primarily being built as a focal point for the harmony of all religions, faiths, and cultures on the spiritual values of Sanatana Dharma (Eternal Truth, in Sanskrit) - the timeless and eternally enduring Law - Eternal Truth, Vedic spiritual culture in which all religions find their Source. 

The Center also promotes the traditional values of the area, green infrastructure, green energy, and green technologies that do not harm the environment, landscape diversity, and rural identity. All components of the Ananda Center are open to permanent and occasional users from Croatia and abroad, volunteers, tourists, and local community residents. 

Through holistic sustainability, a healthy and harmonious living space is created here, integrated into the life of the local community, as an eco-sustainable settlement (up to 900 residents/users), with facilities serving spiritual development and social activities, all surrounded by a rich rural identity. 

The Ananda Center will be built in stages. For this purpose, the Ananda Foundation has so far secured 32 hectares of agricultural and partially forest land in the Municipality of Krnjak, in the village of Krnjak. The goal is to acquire additional parcels for planned Zones of public and social purposes.
